It appears after last release a bunch of people have contacted me/commented about the bugs in MyChrome. Some people got it to build themes correctly, but most failed. This was simply because I was using a library that doesn’t come standard with macs, so that’s why I’ve released MyChrome 1.1! It’s more of a “patch” than an update (so don’t get too excited!) but it makes it so it should work on every computer (but please, let me know if it doesn’t work so I can fix it!)
So here it is. MyChrome 1.1. Download. Unzip. Read the ReadMe. Skin. Enjoy.

On osx 10.6.4 it says installation failed when running the .pkg

So I signed up and downloaded the newest release of mychrome no bugs 1.1 v2
nd all I get is an error message about suodin? not at the root. I’m on 10.6.
5 new MacBook pro.

Yeah, turns out there’s a problem with the libraries it requires, as I cannot legally distribute them. I’m working on a fix in my free time (which is unfortunately very limited now), but I should have a fix up soon! Don’t lose hope for chrome skinning, I was able to skin my browser so it is indeed possible, the hard part is making it usable for virtually every mac user.

im sorry but u might wanna get more security so that u actually must sign up to download the file… its actually quite easy to download it without signing up… juz warning u

I no longer require you to sign up to download my files. However, this page is kind of broken. Thanks for the warning anyway.
